Of all the Bollywood celebrities who speak their minds, Twinkle Khanna aka Mrs Funnybones holds a special place in our hearts, thanks to her wit and humour. Years ago, she tried her hand at acting – remember her performance in Mela? However, she soon figured that she’d rather be penning her own stories than following those written for her, and stand up for what she feels is important. Ever since, regardless of the topic, we’ve known Twinkle to give her brutally honest take on it. Her husband Akshay Kumar is known for his careful choice of words and practised humility, but Twinkle couldn’t be more different. She now has a reputation for being bold and fierce. And honestly, we love it. There have been so many times when we’ve all wanted to desperately speak up about something, but haven’t found the words. Twinkle has come to our rescue, dishing savage statements that we only managed to say in our heads.
In fact, as you read this, she’s taking over the internet with her recent statement: “Trolls are like cockroaches”. The point she was trying to make was that trolls and negative comments are an unavoidable part of social media, but they don’t deserve any importance. “They come along and they do that to everybody and people who take trolls seriously, I’d rather say they are foolish,” she added.
Let’s take a look at some other forthright things she’s said or done in the past.
Remember when she took a dig at the bhai of Bollywood… oops, we meant wrote a matrimonial ad for him? LOL, yes, that happened!
“Alliance Wanted For One Of India’s Oldest But Most Eligible Bachelors: Dashing, non-vegetarian, successful and muscular Khandani boy. Excellent in dance, drama and art. Girl must be pretty, slim and enjoy long drives off the beaten path. Bride must not be very talkative, as groom cannot tolerate any buck buck. Caste no bar. Contact Sultan@Bhaijaan.com”
Remember when she schooled a grammar nazi, who tried to take a dig at her?
