This season may only just have finished, but already Cambridge United fans are starting to think about next term.
Among them are a few well-known supporters who have tweeted their thoughts on how this campaign has gone and their hopes for next term.
They include Sky Sports’ Soccer AM presenter Max Rushden, talkSPORT host Mark Saggers, Joe Savins, lead guitarist with rock band Mallory Knox, and former MEP Richard Howitt.
But a common theme from the quartet is how well they feel United have done despite missing out on the Sky Bet League Two play-offs and an optimism for better times ahead in 2017/18.
And there are plenty of U’s fans who have been satisfied with how the season has gone and share the confidence of the likes of Rushden, Saggers and Savins about how next season may pan out.
But there are some United fans who feel the season has not gone as well as they had hoped and/or believe more work needs to be done to have a realistic chance of promotion in 2017/18.
