Federal Labor deputy leader Tanya Plibersek is relaxed about South Australia putting a levy on the banks, but describes the Turnbull government’s opposition to it as “pretty hilarious”.
She said when the Turnbull government introduced a bank tax in the May budget it was “sensible economic management”.
“When a state Labor government does it, it’s the end of the world, Armageddon has arrived. It’s a bit inconsistent,” she told Sky News on Sunday.
