Due to international call ups, Charlton Athletic are not back in action until they host Doncaster Rovers on October 14 and Addicks fans will be looking for their football fix.
And, with this Saturday October 7 being Non-League Day – although the occasion spans a weekend – it’s a chance to see a side you wouldn’t normally watch.
For instance Dover Athletic are away to Torquay United in the National League, while Ashford United host Sittingbourne in the FA Trophy preliminary round.
Non-League Day was set up by James Doe in 2010 as a social media experiment, after being inspired by a pre-season trip to Devon to watch Queens Park Rangers play at Tavistock.
It has now grown to become an annual part of the football calendar, backed by Premier League and Football League clubs, MPs, celebrities, media organisations including Kent Live, charities and most importantly the non-league clubs themselves and the fans who turn up on the day.

A number of clubs will offer special promotions for season ticket holders at Football League sides so it is worth checking with any club to see if such an offer is available.
But what games are on and where are the games that are nearest to me?
Kent Live has produced a handy tool that helps you decide which games are on nearest you in the local area.
It covers matches from the Vanarama National League down to step 6 of the English Football Pyramid. It also includes any EFL League 1 and 2 matches taking place but those have been filtered out and sit at the bottom of the widget.
Matches included will be played from Friday October 6 to Sunday October 8.
