A bumbling burglar has been filmed slipping over twice in a mini mart before he made off with the store’s cash register – that was empty.
The man, who is still on the run, entered Harold Street Mini Mart in Townsville about 2.30pm on Saturday when he was captured on CCTV.
He ran to the counter and tore off the register before making off in a stolen white 2014 Ford Ranger utility.
But he certainly didn’t get away without embarrassing himself.
Hilarious footage shows the man reaching over the counter and spilling a number of candy bars.
As he attempts to grab the register, attached to electrical cords, he slips on the candy bars.
