Fans of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris have furiously turned on one of his former co-stars to accuse her of being the reason for the pair splitting.
The Hollywood couple shocked many when they announced their split on social media in the early hours of Monday following eight years of marriage.
But fans were quick to theorise that Oscar winning star Jennifer Lawrence, 26, could be a contributing factor in the couple’s decision to divorce.
Chris and J-Law starred opposite each other in the 2016 Sci Fi drama Passengers – with some fans making the leap to suggest the pair grew too close on set.
Other theories include Chris’ punishing work schedule – he recently said he had spent months on the road, forcing him to take half a year off.

Taking to Twitter following the announcement of the split, many have accused J Law of getting between the two.
One tweeted: “I can’t believe Chris Pratt and Anna Faris are splitting up this is all Jennifer Lawrence’s fault.”
Another wrote: “Jennifer Lawrence broke up Chris Pratt’s marriage lol”.
While others are predicting the two will become an item, with one writing: “watch chris pratt and jennifer lawrence be a thing.”
Chris and Anna’s joint statement regarding their separation made no reference to any third party being behind the split.
They said: “We are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still love each other and will always cherish our time together.”
And while there appears to be no basis for trolls accusing J Law of being a factor in the break up, the suggestion that the actress had embarked on an affair with Chris as they filmed Passengers was already vehemently denied last year.
Anna spoke to Fox News about the rumours – admitting they had left her feeling ‘insecure’ and said she would often believe gossip about other A List stars when it was reported.
“This has been blindsiding to us. We have an incredible relationship. [But] it has been weirdly stinging,” Anna said last December.
“I have always kind of believed that part of the rumours of celebrity couples were sort of true because they had never been a part of my life.
“I thought ‘Maybe there is a kernel of truth to that.’”
Chris had previously mentioned he would take six months off work to spend time with his family after spending more than a year working on films back-to-back.
He told Parade magazine last September: “I’ve been on the road for 14 months – I did three movies back to back to back – so I’m taking six months off.”
“I’m taking Jack to Jack’s Beach – which is what we named the little stretch of beach on an island up on the San Juan Islands where we got a place,” he continued.

“We’re going to go back to the fort we built about a month and a half ago when we went for a short visit and see if that’s still there. If not, we’re going to build it again,” he added.
However, by December last year he was travelling the world again promoting Passengers with Jennifer Lawrence.
And then by April 2017 he was already hard at work filming Jurassic World 2 in the UK.
For many, the concept of true love died on Monday 7 August 2017 with the announcement that Anna and Chris’s marriage was over.
Fans were shocked as the pair always seemed to represent a truly solid relationship – something rare at the best of times, let alone in a Hollywood love story.
But Mom actress Anna, 40, and Marvel comic book movie star Chris, 38, said in their statement that they had been struggling “for a long time” before making the ultimate decision to divorce.
However it seemed everything was rosy as recently as June as Anna had shared a photograph of Chris along with their son, Jack – five this month – on Twitter.
She captioned the family moment with the words: “My main men!!”
Meanwhile, Chris had shared a snap of Anna with Jack back on Instagram in May to commemorate Mother’s Day – while he was in the UK filming Jurassic World 2.
He wrote: “to my darling wife @annafaris and our sweet boy. I miss you both so much. I love you… How beautiful are they!?”
Chris and Anna met in 2007 while working on a romantic comedy called Take Me Home Tonight – and they started dating soon after.
Back then, Chris was known as a slightly tubby Hollywood star – winning over fans as Andy Dwyer in TV comedy Parks and Recreation between 2009 and 2015.
However, Chris had an epic Hollywood make-over in 2015 as he got into rippling shape to play one of the lead characters, Peter Quill, in Marvel action comic book movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1.
Seemingly overnight, he went from being a loveable chubby best-mate type cast actor to leading Hollywood heartthrob.

The actor hinted back in 2015 that his wife preferred him with more meat on his bones, telling reporters as Guardians of the Galaxy held it’s premiere: “[Anna] likes abs, but she likes her fat husband better, because she gets to feed him… She’s a feeder and she wants to keep me locked up in the bedroom all fat and eating Kentucky Fried Chicken.”
In September 2016, Chris hinted that his strict muscle-building diet may have impacted his home life – explaining that he missed being fat.

“Yeah, I do [miss being Fat Pratt],” Chris told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show at the time.
“My wife does too. She likes to cook, and I don’t get to eat as much of her cooking as I used to,” he said.
