Letters between parents and teachers is enough to bring any child out in a cold sweat.
So it is perhaps of little surprise that these cheeky youngsters wanted to take matters into their own hands and intercept the notes.
These hilarious photographs, shared by parents and posted in an online gallery, reveal the brazen attempts by children to trick their parents and teachers with their own handwritten sick notes, detention letters and forged signatures.
One aspiring musician named Riley used his best pencil to scrawl a note to his violin teacher, explaining he was giving up the instrument ‘for porfesienl reasons’.
Another boy named Colin impersonated his teacher in a letter to his mother, notifying her that there was no school next week so he should be allowed to ‘stay home and play video games’.
