Tickets to see the Springfield Lasers are now on sale. The Lasers are part of Mylan World Team Tennis and play seven home matches in July and August at Mediacom Tennis Stadium at Cooper Tennis Complex.
Customers may print online tickets at home or bring a smartphone with the ticket code, which is scanned at the gate. Tickets may also be purchased in person at Cooper Tennis Complex or by calling 417-837-5800.
The Lasers will feature the No. 1 player selected in the 2017 WTT draft, Jack Sock. The ATP ranks Sock as the No. 18 men’s singles player in the world and the No. 1-rated American player.
Sock, 24, became a viral video sensation and a beacon of sportsmanship in 2016, when a clip from a match against Australian Lleyton Hewitt made the rounds. A chair umpire called one of Hewitt’s serves out of bounds. As Hewitt prepared to hit a second serve, Sock urged him to use a challenge to put the point under review.

“That was in if you want to challenge it,” Sock said to Hewitt, eliciting laughter and applause from the spectators.
Sock will play for the Lasers Friday, July 21.
Other Lasers players for the 2017 season include returning German-born Benjamin Becker and Anna Lena-Groenefeld and Jean-Julien Rojer of the Netherlands Antilles. Russian Daria Kasatkina will make her WTT debut with the Lasers this summer. Kasatkina is presently the No. 29-ranked player in the world in the Women’s Tennis Association.
Springfield Lasers regular match tickets are $10 for grandstand seats and $20 for box seats. Jack Sock night tickets are $20 for the grandstand and $40 for box seats. Season tickets and VIP packages are also available.
