At the end of the 2001 cult classic Wet Hot American Summer, Bradley Cooper’s character Ben tells his fellow camp counselors, “Hey, let’s all promise that in 10 years from today, we’ll meet again and we’ll see what kind of people we’ve blossomed into.”
In the first trailer for Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later, the gang returns to Camp Firewood a decade later — the year is 1991 — with the exception of Ben, who pitched the idea in the first place. According to IMDB, Cooper will not be making an appearance in the upcoming sequel series, but the trailer is hilarious nonetheless.

“What’s up, b**ches? Let’s rage!” a very ’80s-esque Susie (Amy Poehler) declares.
Since leaving the Maine summer camp 10 years ago, Lindsay (Elizabeth Banks) has her own news show called Puff Stuff, McKinley (Michael Ian Black) is the father of a newborn baby, Victor (Ken Marino) is a male stripper, Andy (Paul Rudd) hasn’t changed at all with the exception of a leather jacket that includes a “Most People Suck” patch, Gene (Christopher Meloni) lives out of his RV and appears to be the long-lost father of Gail’s (Molly Shannon) daughter. Meanwhile, Beth (Janeane Garofalo) is considering selling the camp.
This is Netflix’s second revival of the Wet Hot American Summer movie, directed by David Wain and co-written by Wain and Michael Showalter. In 2015, they put out an eight-part prequel series called First Day of Camp.
In addition to the original star-studded cast, a slew of other familiar faces show up in 10 Years Later that were in the prequel series, including A.D. Miles, Beth Dover, Chris Meloni, Chris Pine, David Hyde Pierce, H. Jon Benjamin, Jason Schwartzman, Joe Lo Truglio, John Early, Josh Charles and Kristen Wiig. As for new cast members, Dax Shepard, Alyssa Milano, Samm Levine and Adam Scott are also in the series.
