It’s the run up to Star Wars season, and while we’re seriously excited to see what The Last Jedi has in store for us, it’s also a reminder that General Leia Organa isn’t around anymore.
Fortunately, we have the likes of Kylo Ren himself to remind us of the late, great Leia (aka Carrie Fisher) and her eternal brilliance.
In a recent interview with GQ, Adam Driver revealed one particular piece of sage advice Carrie gave to him just before The Force Awakens premiered two years ago.
While the cast were waiting to go into the hallowed Hall H at Comic-Con, Adam recalled: “The whole cast was downstairs… talking through what’s supposed to happen at this big event.

“[Carrie] was like, ‘Just pretend you’re down to earth. People love that shit’.”
Sadly, we don’t think us mere mortals will ever need that kind of advice, but it’s good to know that it works. Just in case.
“So now I pretend I’m down to earth and you know what? People really do love that shit,” Adam joked. “They eat it up.”
Something else fans are eating up at the moment is the idea that Adam accidentally leaked Rey’s origin story during the very same interview.
While discussing the way director Rian Johnson has built on the idea of Kylo ‘wearing a mask’, some fans also think he indirectly name-checked Daisy Ridley’s Rey.
“You have, also, the hidden identity of this princess who’s hiding who she really is so she can survive, and Kylo Ren and her hiding behind these artifices,” he explained.
Don’t worry, though, he was probably just on about Princess Leia. Right?
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on December 14 in the UK and December 15 in the US.
