Gemma Collins is famous for her weight loss – as well as TOWIE, Celebrity Big Brother, her short appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and most recently Celebs Go Dating. 

The Only Way Is Essex legend and James Argent’s ex has been very open about dieting and her weight gain and loss for years now, and has most recently revealed she’s dropped a stone only months after flaunting her curves in a mesh swimsuit on holiday.  

Ditching fad-diets, such as the juice diet, Gemma has made a pact to be healthier in 2018, which seems to have paid off with her recent weight loss reveal. 

From opening up on This Morning about hypnotherapy to dropping three stone on a liquid-only diet, here’s what we know about Gemma’s journey.

2011 – Gemma drops three stone 

In 2011, Gemma dropped three stone thanks to bootcamp. 

Also dying her hair brunette, the star showed off her new look during one of the first series of TOWIE.

2015 – Gemma loses three stone on liquid-only diet

According to Heat World, Gemma dropped a massive three stone in one month towards the end of 2015 by going on a liquid-only diet. 

Dietician who runs Juicy Oasis retreat in Portugal revealed: “She lost two-and-a-half to three stone in total in four weeks, living on nothing but freshly pressed juice.

“She has been doing exercise as well but not military-style. None of it is forced. Nobody can force Gemma to do anything, frankly.”

2015 – Gemma reveals hypnotherapy on This Morning

Following her appearance on I’m A Celebrity, Gemma appeared on This Morning where she revealed how hypnotherapy had helped her.

She revealed: “I’ve done every diet out there, there’s nothing I haven’t done.

“I was obsessed with food. And life revolved around food and eating. There was no brain space in my head for me not to think about food, it was a living nightmare.” 

She said that after the hypnotherapy: “I woke up and I believed I’d got my life back, and I got me back.”

2016 – Gemma finds out her egg count is low

In 2016, during an episode of TOWIE, Gemma was told her egg count was low and her weight would make it harder for her to fall pregnant. 

This came after her time on Celebrity Big Brother, where Gemma described herself as: “Best known for too much bronzer, and always being on a diet.”

2017 – Gemma talk gastric band 

Talking to The Sun, Gemma explained: “I’m not saying I’ll get to a size 10 but I do need to lose weight. For my health I wouldn’t want to be bigger than I am now.

“I refuse to have a gastric band as easy as it would be. I have overcome so many things in my life and I will overcome my weight – but I need time and focus to do it.”

2018 – Gemma focused on healthy lifestyle 

As 2018 came about, Gemma shared with her fans on Instagram she was going to be eating healthy this year.

Sharing snaps of her meals, the blonde bombshell commented: “So focused right now sorry to all my friends I’ve told them all no meals out or afternoon teas lol for a long time #2018 transformation.”

And in only one month, Gemma has dropped a stone. 

Sharing a snap with with champagne, Gemma wrote: “Out with the family, champagne seafood no carbs celebration. Lost one stone. I said every stone a cheeky celebration back on it tom.”
