Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, was running errands with her daughter, Charlotte, and her family’s nanny when she was seen wearing the humorous hat. With a tour to support the newly-minted author’s first memoir release, the former First Lady made a pit stop in Chicago Sunday night, where author Cheryl Strayed asked Clinton what she would be dressing up as on Halloween – you know, if she weren’t touring the country.
But then a lightbulb went off.
In order to dress up as president this year, Clinton would have to make herself up to resemble her one-time opponent, but I don’t think that’s what the former secretary of state had in mind. It was the evening before Halloween, so, naturally, the topic of costumes arose. “I think I will maybe come as the president!” Judging by the rapturous applause that followed, the audience would seem to agree.
Hannity tried to correct himself after the first utterance, but he called Clinton the president again before moving on to blast her and the Obama administration over the questions surrounding their 2010 deal with Russian Federation.
Of her election loss, Clinton said, “I’ll admit there were times when I was tempted to just pull the covers over my head”.
“I’ll leave it to the investigators to decide whether or not there was collusion, or conspiracy but we don’t need a lengthy investigation to tell us that Trump is ignoring the intelligence community about an urgent threat, refusing to stand up to an adversary who has already attacked us, and abdicating his responsibility to preserve, protect and defend our national security interests.”
