Lee Sharpe has told the hilarious story of what happened in the immediate aftermath of the Eric Cantona’s Kung Fu kick after seeing a red card.
Cantona had just walked off the pitch when the referee deemed his stamp worthy of an early bath and Sharpe explains how his team mates and especially his manager reacted.

United were playing Crystal Palace and earned a 1-1 draw despite being down to 10 men.
It was a poor result for Untied, given the then fortunes of both sides, and normally after such a result captain Brian Robson would instruct his players to take five minutes to warm down and let the manager cool off.
Not this time! Robson ordered everyone into the changing room so they could bare witness to the managers hairdryer on the great French man.

What happened next…well, it’s best if Sharpe tells it himself.
