Piers Morgan took to Twitter to point out This Morning host Holly Willoughby’s grammatical mistake, after she made a spelling error in front of millions of social media followers.

Piers himself had been applauding the show he hosts, Good Morning Britain, for their sensational ratings, writing: “BOOM!

“Massive @GMB ratings yesterday – 3rd highest in the show’s history. Thanks for watching, even if I could hardly bear to watch myself..”

And Holly, 37, who had appeared on the show earlier in the day to discuss her new lifestyle website Truly, decided to chime in – and take credit for some of the incredible ratings.

Responding to Piers’ Tweet, Holly – who has previously opened up about having dyslexia – wrote: “your welcome…” followed by a winking face.

However, it didn’t go down too well with Piers – who decided to point out her grammatical error in front of his 6.52 million followers, writing: “It’s ‘you’re’.”

And fans were quick to comment on the correction, with one writing: “How could you do that to Holly!”

“Take him down @hollywills he has it all set up for you,” another wrote, while a third added: “Dissing @hollywills …..very uncool…'”

Holly has always been open about her dyslexia, one time responding to fans after they asked about a spelling error. “Thankyou for flagging up my spelling, I am dyslexic, and don’t have time to spell check everything, you may just have to overlook it,” she wrote.

It comes after Holly appeared on the show – and hit out at Piers live on air.

After Piers continued to talk despite co-host Susanna Reid attempting to move on, Holly reached out to his Susanna and declared: “I feel sorry for you”

“Why?” Piers, 53, retorted. Holly replied: “I watch all the time and I look at Susanna’s little face, it’s so unfair.”

“It’s actually a look of adoration, she just hides it very well,” Piers said.
