The viral sensation Mason Ramsey, aka the Walmart yodeling kid, performed at a Louisville Walmart Scott Utterback, Louisville Courier Journal
He’s one of the biggest names in music in 2018. And Friday afternoon, he made his first appearance in Louisville.
We’re talking about Mason Ramsey, of course, better known as the yodeling Walmart kid. The 11-year-old viral sensation did his thing from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Friday at the Walmart on Bashford Manor Lane.
Young Mason became an internet sensation earlier this year when a video of him yodeling at a Walmart in Illinois got a huge reaction online. The original video, posted on YouTube on April 1, has picked up over 41 million views in the weeks since it was posted.
Because this is 2018, Mason went on to release his debut single “Famous” in late April, weeks after the original video, and hit the road to play at other Walmarts throughout the country. He has also performed in cities such as Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Birmingham, Alabama, in recent weeks ahead of his Friday appearance in Louisville, and joined country group Florida Georgia Line on the stage at the Stagecoach Festival last month in California.
If you, for some strange reason, weren’t able to drop everything and cancel all your plans in order to head to Walmart to watch an 11-year-old yodel, you’re in luck – Courier Journal went to the scene this evening to record Mason’s performance. Check out the video of the show at the top of this story.
